Playback error - Brendan Vos - 2024-09-25

Updated to latest stable (V 10.9.11) to see if it would fix the issue, but no change.
Playback error only occurs when trying to use android TV 0.17.5 client, and does not occur on most media.

What device are you using to run the Android TV client? I’ve noticed several issues with AAC 7.1 audio during direct playback that lead to errors. If you switch the playback audio output to stereo on the Jellyfin Android TV client, it should work, but you'll lose the surround sound.

Follow theguymadmax's suggestion. Change the audio output setting on your Chromecast, in the Jellyfin app, to "downmix to stereo". I've seen this issue a lot with 7.1 AAC audio on ATV devices.
