Changing resolution doesn't change the used bandwidth - TimeLabs - 2024-09-27 Hi there, I've been troubleshooting some issues with my TailScale instance and while doing that I found out, that no matter what resolution I select, it doesn't change the bandwidth used. Shouldn't a change in requested resolution / bitrate trigger transcoding? RE: Changing resolution doesn't change the used bandwidth - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-27 The resolution selection is pretty meaningless. It is the bitrate in the quality selector that matters. If you have a video with a 5Mbps bitrate and you select 10Mbps then nothing will happen. If you select anything lower than 5Mbps it will trigger a transcode. |
