Music with Guest Artists acting strange - kilkenny82 - 2023-08-28 Hello all, not busy long with Jellyfin now, but started adding my media trying to get it to look and work correctly. Now I have my music folder filled with a first bunch of albums, some of them have a guest artist to them which in the tag itself is set as for instance Apocalyptica ft. Corey Taylor. This caused 2 artists in my Artist list, the main album under Apocalyptica, and 1 song under artist Apocalyptica ft. Corey Taylor. When I look at the metadata editor in Jellyfin it gives a clue to use a ; to seperate artists, so I did that, and indeed, in the example above it gives me artist Corey Taylor as well. But I still have the song under Apocalyptica ft. Corey Taylor, so that is still there, and I want it gone. And under Corey Taylor it doesn't show any songs at all. Even weirder, if a featured artist already has a folder with songs, a second one is created without any music underneath. All my music files have their Metadata already embedded, and I've set Jellyfin to use external Metadata files (NFO). The music is in the datafolder, and for the main artists this is also where all the metadata is located. For all the guest artists a folder is created in the config/metadata folder. Any idea how I can clean this mess up again? |
