Incorrect Movie Titles - srd37 - 2024-09-28 I've been running Jellyfin for a while now without issue. All my media has been scraped and was showing correctly. However, I just pulled it up yesterday and noticed that various movie titles have been randomly changed to things such as "*** Encoded and..." and "title.year.1080p...". These titles were correct last time I checked and I haven't made any changes to any metadata settings. The strange thing is that it's just the titles that are a mess. All the other metadata is correct and all of the file names are formatted as "title.(year).mp4" For sources, I have the standard TheMovieDB and The Open Movie Database. Is there something else that may have changed? Any idea what I should try to correct the titles? It would be a huge pain to have to manually do it. RE: Incorrect Movie Titles - srd37 - 2024-09-28 I also just noticed that, within the metadata, the "original title" is correct, but the "title" is incorrect. I'm not sure how it's generating the "title". Is there a way to have Jellyfin display using the "original title" instead? I've searched but I can't find an option anywhere. RE: Incorrect Movie Titles - TheDreadPirate - 2024-09-28 Did you check "Prefer embedded titles over filenames" in the library settings? RE: Incorrect Movie Titles - srd37 - 2024-09-29 Yes, it was already selected. It appears that it was pulling the titles from pre-existing metadata within the actual file, so I guess that was the probloem. I've tried unselecting that box and running a new library scan and I believe that cleared everything up. Thanks for the quick help. |
