Hello everyone,
I am rather confused by the function of SyncPlay as the subject may let you guess.
I have a Linux server available on the internet with Jellyfin and an nginx reverse proxy running which works fine so far. I basically used the documentation here for configuring it and it was no big deal streaming works fine.
After creating a few users I wanted to try the SyncPlay function for watching movies with friends that live far away as this is the main reason for me to rent a server.
But now I am pretty stuck. I created a group and joined with a couple of users (tried this all by myself in private browser tabs because I wanted to understand how it works and explain it to my friends after).
What is supposed to happen if you create a group? I don't understand how a user joins a running stream...
I've read a few posts on the internet that there could be problems with reverse proxy and SyncPlay but nobody really described how these occur or how they solved it in the end.
I don't want to use anything besides the browser as this would be too complicated for most of my friends.
Anybody here who can help me or point me in the right direction?
