Wrong metadata language - GrasWenz - 2024-10-04

Hi guys,

I‘ve recently treated myself to a NAS to store my favorite movies and shows.

Technical details of my setup, in case if it is relevant:
  • NAS: Ugreen DXP4800 PLUS
  • Jellyfin Version: 10.9.11
  • Jellyfin installation method: Docker file (linuxserver/jellyfin)
  • Downloads via Sonarr and Radarr
  • Clients: LG OLED C3 2023, iPhone 15PM, iPhone 11, iPad
  • Jellyfin only running locally

I have noticed the following issue:
My shows are not displayed in the selected language (German). The audio and subtitles are working fine, but the metadata language is in english and won‘t change whatsoever. I tried editing the metadata language preferences of the whole show, a season and even of individual episodes, but none of that helped me do it. Once I changed the I would always do a reload and replace of all metadata, but it just kept being in english.

For movies it is all fine and they are displayed in German.
Unfortunately I was unable to find help in the internet, thats why I‘m posting here.
Does anyone know how to fix this or if this is a known bug?

Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
GrasWenz

What metadata provider are you using? And is the global or library metadata language preference set to German?

Hi,

I use The TvMovieDB and TheTVDB. I set literally everything to German where I could find a drop down including German(y). But so far no luck.
