Delfin for Arch Linux crashes upon playback - KrashKharma - 2024-10-07
Version: 10.9.9 (Windows)
Client: Delfin for Arch (AUR package - delfin and delfin-git)
Not sure it's even possible to get help here since this is, I assume, a third party client? but any google search about it just returns results for the Dolphin emulator (adding "-dolphin" returns no related results at all)
Anyways; Delfin worked for a month or two (I just started using Jellyfin recently), but a week or so ago it just started crashing immediately any time I'd try to actually play something. No idea why, and it applies to both the regular "extra/delfin" AUR package and delfin-git. Is it a version bug? Is it being worked on? It seems like a pretty big issue that should probably have halted the release of this version...
Hope somebody's able to help, I really like using this app for Jellyfin on my laptop.
Edit: Technically Solved - installing the Flatpak version seems to be a viable solution until the AUR package is fixed 🤷🤷🤷

Weirdly, it doesn't even trigger a log. The most recent log is from last midnight and just says "Error processing request." 🤷
While trying to figure it out, I realized there's a Flatpak version of the app I could try, and I installed that and it works, so I guess I'll just mark this as solved.
