Playback issue out of no where - owley - 2024-10-08 I setup up jellyfin about a year ago and everything has been playing just fine. As of today, anything running on roku won't play certain files, when they played fine with no issues. When trying to play TV shows, some episodes work and others throw up play back error message and then tries to load the next one and same thing. When checking the logs, all it says is "playback stop did not have a tracker". This is the only error I can see in any of the logs. This issue just started about an hour ago. Even going back to episodes that were playing fine 2 hours ago have this issue now. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. RE: Playback issue out of no where - Shadowulf - 2024-10-09 I have the same issue. Out of nowhere Jellyfin on Roku app will not play. It has been set up for over year as well. However, the Jellyfin on my phone works just fine. ON the Roku 4k Streaming it gives me a flashing "playback error" difficult to see exactly since it is flashing. The only way to stop it is to hit the home button on Roku remote. This issue started this morning 10/8/24 around 4am MST. We have restarted the server and deleted the Jellyfin app on Roku and reinstalled it. Same issue. Not sure what is going on. RE: Playback issue out of no where - crobibero - 2024-10-09 This is a known issue, there is a new release scheduled for Thursday. https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-roku/releases/tag/v2.1.7 RE: Playback issue out of no where - Shadowulf - 2024-10-09 Thank you for the response and info. We love our Jellyfin and realized how often we used it when we couldn't. ;-) RE: Playback issue out of no where - chuck_buckbrake - 2024-10-09 Yup im here for the same issue. RE: Playback issue out of no where - TheDreadPirate - 2024-10-11 What are your hardware specs and did you setup GPU pass through so that Ubuntu has access to your GPU? So its old Lenovo Thinkpad: processor: Intel Core i5-3230M 4-cores 3200 , Graphics: Intel 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics, Network: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205, Ram 8 GB RE: Playback issue out of no where - TheDreadPirate - 2024-10-12 You have to pick VAAPI and select the codecs your iGPU supports. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Quick_Sync_Video Scroll down to the codec table and use the Ivy Bridge column. |
