Jellyfin locking metadata of newly created collection. - xawoger - 2024-10-26 Hello, My problem is to do with the collections. I don't use any plugin for this because when I tried the plugin it did create empty collections. I have enabled collections in the settings of each library I wanted to have them created for. Unfortunately what happens now is that the collection is created, movies from collection are included in it but some metadata for collection is missing including the poster. On top of it collection is locked so refreshing metadata does not help. I have to manually unlock every collection that was created and refresh metadata after which does download missing information including images. Is this an expected behaviour and if not what is needed to diagnose an issue? RE: Jellyfin locking metadata of newly created collection. - TheDreadPirate - 2024-10-27 What server version? Can you share your jellyfin log via pastebin? RE: Jellyfin locking metadata of newly created collection. - alto - 2025-09-22 I'm experiencing this exact same thing myself. Running Jellyfin in the linuxserver container: ghcr.io/linuxserver/jellyfin:10.10.7. Just recently had some new collections automatically created by Jellyfin, all of them locked so that the metadata fails to update and no covers are fetched, this results in coverless entries in Kodi for me. Like xawoger I have to go through the collections one by one and unlock them in order to get the metadata fetching to work properly. Not sure for what event specifically I can supply logs? RE: Jellyfin locking metadata of newly created collection. - theguymadmax - 2025-09-22 That's been fixed in the upcoming 10.11 release. The best way to populate collection images is by installing the TMDb Box Sets plugin from Dashboard->Plugins->Catalog. Then, when it's installed, go to Dashboard->Scheduled task and run the "Scan library for new box sets". RE: Jellyfin locking metadata of newly created collection. - KodiUser1138 - 2025-09-22 I have issues with Collections not showing all the items that are in the metadata, which might stem from having tested 2 plug-ins to create collections automatically. Most TV shows and all associated images no longer show in the coolections despite their paths being included in the respective collection.xml. Multiple refreshes through various steps fail to resolve this and any newly creates collections through vanilla JF exibit the same issues. Stumped. Still using 10.10.7 on Windwos 10. |
