Hi !
I have seen that you can lock metadata that its not possible to change it....
i did not tested now, but if a lock e.g. a libary is then everything under this libary locked or only the libary itself

In the library settings, there is a drop down to select how often metadata is updated. This is usually for things like ratings and the status for newer shows. But it will potentially update other fields you may have customized.
So to prevent this you can lock the metadata for your shows/movies so that some or all fields are never updated. How well this works seems to vary based on what I've seen other users report.
The lock applies to the individual items.
