Subtitles - BNC - 2024-10-31 I have a movies folder with external .srt files named the same as the movies. It seems new movies with the external .srt file will show up with the initial media scan but when you run the same scan the movies subtitles will disappear from the movie details page. However they will reappear if you run a missing metadata scan manually but will disappear again on the next regular media scan. This happens to the majority of movies but not all and seems to be random. This has been happening in the last couple of versions. And I have tried a complete fresh install and still happens. Any help would be appreciated. RE: Subtitles - TheDreadPirate - 2024-10-31 Can you share your jellyfin logs via pastebin? RE: Subtitles - BNC - 2024-11-02 After experimenting with multiple computers and windows operating systems. I found that the problem is having all the .mp4 and .srt files in the same folder. It seems that when you have only a few hundred .mp4 with .srt's you wouldn't notice just a couple of files not showing up with the external subtitle not showing. But when there are a couple thousand it's much more noticeable. I noticed as i added more files the problem became more noticeable. My fix to this problem was to put each .mp4 and .srt in its own folder. This has eliminated the problem totally for me. All subtitles are accounted for after any type of scan multiple times. |
