Trakt plugin - Prahlis - 2024-10-31

Hello. I've been using Jellyfin for some time now, but have nevere gotten the Trakt plugin to work. With multiple versions of Jellyfin on multiple hosts I've installed and authorized the Trakt plugin for it to just nothing. For long I assumed it was broken and unmanaged, but I see that it's being updated so I assume it works for some.

Anyway, could some one please tell me how I'm supposed to get the Trakt plugin to do anything? I'm currently on Jellyfin 10.10.0 and the latest Trakt version, but like I said it never worked

Are you using NFOs to save watch state?

Have you scheduled the Trakt scheduled task so that it retrieves watched state? Have you configured it for your user so that it pushes to Trakt when you watch something?
The plugin is working flawlessly on my end.

Thanks for responding. I've looked through the plugin settings but see no way to do any of the things you are describing.

Also I don't use nfo to save my watch state. How do I do that?

RE: Trakt plugin - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-01

I only asked because Jellyfin can use both at the same time and in edge cases could cause conflicts between Trakt and Jellyfin saving watch status to NFOs.

Can you share your full jellyfin log via pastebin?

Sure. Took a while to figure out how to get it, but hopefully this is enough, Thanks for helping

Nothing looks out of the ordinary.

Thanks for checking. Weird though. It's like it does literally nothing. When is the plugin supposed to run? Is there a way to force a sync?

RE: Trakt plugin - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-05

It is syncing, according to the log.

Weird. I ran the Trakt addon for Kodi (which uses jellyfin as host) and that works, but the Trakt addon for jellyfin didn't mark a single movie as watched.
