pdf not working in book library - zelpi - 2024-10-31
I created a book type library and scanned my pdfs in Jellyfin media player. The folders in Jellyfin appear according to the structure on Windows, which is ok. But when opening a detail page - how can I display the pdf? I can only see the button which in movie library starts the video. When I click in the book library on it, nothing is displayed, only the loading sign shows up. What am I doing wrong?

Jellyfin behaves weirdly when there is only a single item in a folder. It will show what you're describing. Press the "play" button to open the PDF.

it may take a minute to load the pdf depending on how large it is. it loads the entire pdf. for example a manga is pretty quick while a novel takes a minute. depends on your server/internet speed

Unfortunately, the pdfs don‘t load to be displayed in my book library, also not those with small data. There are some text only documents, which open with my pdf viewer lightning fast. In jellyfin - nope.
I don‘t understand this, because I see no possibility of doing something wrong. It‘s just scanning and scraping pdfs.
Or am I missing something?
