Will the Nvidia Shield Pro fix my audio problems? - chmh - 2024-11-01 I'm very very new to this home media server streaming stuff, but I'm excited about it (and not tech savvy, as you can probably already tell)! However, I'm stumbling upon more problems than I thought I would, audio-wise. This is my setup: Server: running on a modern gaming pc. TV: LG C3 Receiver: Sony TA-AN1000 Speakers: 3.1 (LRC + sub) The issue I'm facing is that oftentimes, no sound is coming from the center speaker, even though the mkv files that I'm streaming are directly ripped with my blu-ray disc drive/reader, and I have the option in the Jellyfin client to choose DTS-HD MA 5.1 or whatever it's called (also, I started out using Plex a month ago, for which I was able to get sound from the center speaker on some of these movies, but not all). I've read that you can root your tv, tweak some code, get some plugins, use different video players, etc. to (maybe) fix some of these issues - but I would really just like it to just work without all that trouble! Some also suggest Chromecast with Google TV (4k), which I've also unsuccessfully tried. So my question is, would purchasing an Nvidia Shield Pro TV fix all (or 99%) of my problems? Or can I still expect all sorts of different compatibility issues (audio/video/subtitles wise)?
