Select Path in Add Library - sodakjohn - 2024-11-02

Hello,
I have recently installed Jellyfin on Truenas Scale.  I am trying to add a media library of home videos and photos.  When I am at the select path screen I don't see my dataset.  My pool is "Network Storage" and my dataset is "Share". There are several selections in the select path box starting with "/".  Under "/"  there are bin, boot, cache, config, etc and others but if I follow these paths I do not see my Network Storage/Share folder. I believe I am missing something very basic but I can't figure it out.  I realize I need need to learn some Linux.  I have installed Ubuntu and watched some Linux basic videos but hey haven't helped.  Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks'
John

You need to mount the file path first from the app settings on Truenas Scale's app GUI.

Did you do that?
Also what version of Scale are you running?

Thanks for reading and answering my post.
I have opened Jellyfin inside TrueNas, I see two places where I can enter a path, the cache path and the metadata path.
In the dashboard I see a listing of paths /cache, /config/log, /config/metadata, paths for transcodes and web but that is all I see for places to enter path.
My path for my SMB share is /mnt/Network Storage/Share.  This works as a Windows share.
I am wondering if my naming convention is a problem.  The upper case letters and space between network and storage?
I am running Truenas scale 24.10.0
Thanks for your help,
John

Fought it for a few days, got it running. You tube channel "Frozen North" very helpful, if you are having problems watch the two videos he has on Jellyfin.
