Jellyfin is starting wrong Episode from different Series - Grunttanamo - 2024-11-06
Hey guys!
I got a weird problem with Jellyfin and it only happens with ony series.
(sorry for my bad english btw i hope you will understand me anyways)
Just 1st the informations - if needed.
How my Series are stored?
This way
|Shows -> Dragon Ball -> Season 01 -> Dragon Ball S01E01
|Shows -> Dragon Ball Z -> Season 01 -> Dragon Ball Z S01E01
For all other Series this way works just fine. I habe over 700 animes, over 400 movies and a few shows on my server.
But for any reason only "Dragon Ball" dosn't work correctly.
I get the correct metadata for it, images are correct, description.. everything but jellyfin starts the wrong series when i click on "play".
when i check the filepath also everything looks correct but it will always starts the wrong show.
when i click play on "Dragon Ball" i get the 1st Episode of "Dragon Ball Z" not from the classic one.
does anyone know how to fix that?
i only have one folder called "Dragon Ball" so i don't get it. i also can't understand why it shows the correct path but plays the wrong file from a different path.
i scanned the libary manytimes, i used 2 different HDD's (one with DB and one with DBZ) but i get always the same result.

When you say you checked the file path, is that in the Jellyfin UI? "Edit metadata" or "media info"?
Can you share your jellyfin logs via pastebin?
