Purple & Green transcoding DOVI - jsancho - 2024-11-06 Hi,  My JF server is an Orange Pi 5 Plus (Rockchip RK358. I have noticed that when transcoding a film encoded with Dolby Vision Profile, the image generated has a purple and green tint over it. Here are a couple of screenshots. The Paramount should be familiar enough to help notice how the colours are clearly off. When I play the content on Google Chrome, iOS/Android apps, Android TV, on which transcoding kicks in, I get these funny colours on the image. I had tone mapping configured with the default values, but I have also tried disabling it completely and the results are the same. Other content in 4K HVEC plays just fine, but I've noticed these files are all in SDR video range. The source of the problem might be elsewhere, but I thought this was a reasonable guess. Is transcoding of DOVI content supported on Rockchip?  Is there something else that you recommend I should try? thanks RE: Purple & Green transcoding DOVI - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-06 Do you have tone mapping enabled? RE: Purple & Green transcoding DOVI - gnattu - 2024-11-06 Rockchip hardware transcoding is not compatible with dolby vision due to rkmpp decoder limitations, unfortunately.
