Clearing RAM - Druidblack - 2024-11-07 Good afternoon. Are there any options (maybe a command) to clean up the RAM that jf consumes After scanning the media library in RAM, jf takes up a lot of RAM. (about 40 gigabytes). If you restart the jf service, the RAM consumption is reduced to 1-2 gigabytes. But over time, consumption increases. There are no problems with RAM, but are there any options to clean up the consumed RAM after scanning the library? RE: Clearing RAM - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-07 How is Jellyfin installed? Directly on Linux or in Docker? RE: Clearing RAM - Druidblack - 2024-11-07 Linux Debian 11 RE: Clearing RAM - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-07 What is the output of "free -m"? USUALLY, most of that memory usage is cache and not actually in use. Cached memory will be immediately released if another app needs the memory. RE: Clearing RAM - Druidblack - 2024-11-07 i RE: Clearing RAM - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-07 If Jellyfin is running directly in Debian, without docker, I don't have a good answer other than restarting Jellyfin. My Jellyfin has never grown that large. Either in Docker or directly in Ubuntu. |
