Clearing RAM - Druidblack - 2024-11-07

Good afternoon. Are there any options (maybe a command) to clean up the RAM that jf consumes After scanning the media library in RAM, jf takes up a lot of RAM. (about 40 gigabytes). If you restart the jf service, the RAM consumption is reduced to 1-2 gigabytes. But over time, consumption increases.

There are no problems with RAM, but are there any options to clean up the consumed RAM after scanning the library?

How is Jellyfin installed? Directly on Linux or in Docker?

Linux Debian 11

What is the output of "free -m"? USUALLY, most of that memory usage is cache and not actually in use. Cached memory will be immediately released if another app needs the memory.

If Jellyfin is running directly in Debian, without docker, I don't have a good answer other than restarting Jellyfin. My Jellyfin has never grown that large. Either in Docker or directly in Ubuntu.
