Autoplay Not Working at End of Season (Android TV) - SabinVI - 2023-09-03
Hello all,
This issue was posted on Reddit 8 months ago, but received no real responses.
The user that posted it was using the Android TV Jellyfin client. I am using that one as well in my living room. I just tested this issue on my Roku in the bedroom. On the Roku it works fine. The season ends, and then autoplay plays the first episode from the next season.
On Android TV, the autoplay works fine for every episode until it gets to the last episode of the season. Once it gets to the end, it just stops and goes back to the show screen. If you press back to the main menu, you'll see the next episode show up on the "Next Up" section, but it will never autoplay by itself.
Since it works on Roku, I'm guessing its just a small bug in the Android TV client..? Unless there's an option to fix it that I am unaware of. It's not a major issue, but it is a small annoyance when you have something playing in the background and it stops and you have to manually get it to play again.
Does anyone know if this is indeed a bug? Should I report it on Github or something? There's a way to submit bugs I think but I've never done it before.

Has there ever been a solution found to this? Can confirm that it stops at the end of a season on firetv as well. Not a huge deal, but would be nice if it just kept playing as we use it a lot just as background noise.
