Hi,
I am planing to travel and plan to stream from my jellyfin server remotely.
As i am using nordvpn, I thought that meshnet is a good approach which allows me to do the above.
however after following guide from below link, i am still not able to connect.

please could someone help or should i just forget about nordvpn and try to use other method to connect to the server remotely?

When you say you can't connect, do you mean NOTHING comes up? Or Jellyfin doesn't allow you to log in?

nothing comes up. the server could not be found.

What Operating System are you running Jellyfin on? Are you running it from within a Docker container? Can you access other services on your server through Meshnet?

Also want to do this. But when open the nordvpn program on linux mint and going thru the selections there is no meshnet option. Went thru every section, figured it be in networking but there is no meshnet option in the nordvpn program for linux mint 22 something.
Is the meshnet setting in the jellyfin web dashboard. I assume it would have to be on nord prgram.
I been going round and round with libraries lol. still not quite there yet lol. slowly getting better. lol. i need it to go to the d drive, sata ntfs drive for all the files as it is terrabyte and c is only 500 and mostly full. Getting double entries, looking like it is searching the media jellyfin directory as default even though it is not listed in my library file paths. That is easy enough to just delete all the files there is i can get it to search the sata correctly. Gonna keep at it lol.. this is only one I have been able to get to work so far, which is kewl. tired of having to transfer files to usb and plug into bluray etc.. gonna really be nice if i can get it to do live tv too.
what are your best plugin, are they hard to set up....
oh what is a docker container.....
old guy raising grandkids trying learn all this a challenge lol.. i tryin though lol... i love that people are so supportive of each other on linux... billy boy chased us away, never going back now... this allot to learn but love the people helping people... its great... thank you all
