King Crimson Banner - dixonjon - 2024-11-12 Hello, I am running version 10.10.1 on Mint specifically to play music at this point, and I have run into an odd problem. First noticed that any of my albums that were missing cover art had a picture with a number of people behind a mixer board. Was able to track down to be King Crimson in an image also used here: https://www.avnetwork.com/avnetwork/in-the-house Next noticed that even with the cover art fixed, there is a background on the album list for many of the albums that has the faint version of the picture and a prominent "King Crimson" logo. It seems like it is happening for just one of the main "branches" of my files, but there is nothing by King Crimson in that branch. Any idea where a default like this would come from? I tried looking in the various settings and nothing suggests a source for where this would pull from. Thanks, Jon RE: King Crimson Banner - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-12 Can you provide examples of how your media is organized? And do you have images saved with your music? RE: King Crimson Banner - dixonjon - 2024-11-16 Here is a (slightly abbreviated) tree: /home/music ├── D │ ├── ABBA │ ├── Barenaked Ladies │ ├── Baroque-Boston Pops │ ├── Christmas │ └── Tracy Byrd ├── J │ ├── Brass │ ├── Christmas │ ├── Classical │ ├── Jazz │ ├── Misc │ └── Trumpet └── K ├── Chrissy & Die Kirchenmäuse └── Northern Cree Singers For the folders under J there is generally another layer of folders (artists) before the folders with the albums. In the other two folders there is a mix of albums at the top level and one level down. I added in cover.jpg in all of my albums that didn't already have saved covers when I was getting rid of having the King Crimson photo as the default cover for those albums. Some of them also autosaved additional graphics if those existed on MusicBrainz when I went through (had it autosave them). Defaulting to the King Crimson banner only seems to happen on the J structure, as I moved an album over to a new directory and it stopped happening. So moving things one at a time it seems like the problem were some single songs that were in one folder. Hadn't gotten rid of all of them, and the default picture and banner changed to the Canadian Brass (which is at least something in my collection). But now it seems to have been stable for a few days with all those single files moved out. Still is extremely odd behavior for a couple of files to set defaults for everything thing else in a folder. RE: King Crimson Banner - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-16 I'm assuming you've added /home/music to the library in Jellyfin. Correct? If so, can you try removing that and add all the subfolders in that? /home/music/D, /home/music/J, /home/music/K, etc. I THINK your folder structure is problematic. Moving the "root" folder down one level may help. |
