Best source for UK EPG data? - cfcman - 2024-11-15 I'm in the UK and just exploring Jellying, mainly for the DVR capabilities to supplement a Humax that I already use - I have a HDHomeRun connected. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent free EPG grabber for UK guide data? I've used XMLTV in the past, but can't remember how I used to get the guide data refreshed! RE: Best source for UK EPG data? - incubusvictim - 2025-04-25 You sound like your set up is the same as mine, Humax, HDHomeRun and Jellyfin. Here's what I have done for grabbing the EPG: 1) For the HDHomeRun Quattro I have, I've written a Python program that uses the HDHomeRun API to get 7 days worth of EPG. It is a little crude but I have it schedule early morning and it seems to work: https://github.com/IncubusVictim/HDHomeRunEPG-to-XmlTv 2) For other streamed channels I have in Jellyfin, I get my EPG (although online 3 days worth) from here: https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/ You'd need a zipped file that suits you, say epg_ripper_UK1.xml.gz and what I do is filter out the streams I need and mapp them in Jellyfin. Hope that helps and give you something to work with :-) RE: Best source for UK EPG data? - cfcman - 2025-04-25 Thanks for this. I haven't messed around with Python yet but will look into it. RE: Best source for UK EPG data? - conor - 2025-04-25 There's a lot of EPG grabber projects on Github, I use the iptv-org one. There's multiple UK sites it can grab from, Sky being the most obvious. https://github.com/iptv-org/epg |
