How to save metadata into existing NFO file? - zhaidoudou123 - 2024-11-15 Hello everyone, I am using my own NFO saver to generate NFO file "MOVIENAME.nfo" for my library. When I was using Jellyfin 10.8, everything was okay and after my editing metadata, the NFO file will be edited smoothly as well. However, after my upgrade to 10.10.1, something changes: A new "movie.nfo" is generated when I add a new movie with my own nfo into the library, or when I edit metadata of existing movie in my library. That makes me really frustrated. So, is there any way for my Jellyfin to work as before: use existing NFO file and never generate new "movie.nfo" file? Thank you very much! RE: How to save metadata into existing NFO file? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-15 If you already have an NFO, you could just rename the file and replace the new one. Thank you for your reply! Does this mean that I cannot prevent Jellyfin from generating a new "movie.nfo", and the only solution is to rename my own NFO file to "movie.nfo" so that Jellyfin can update my NFO file after editing metadata? RE: How to save metadata into existing NFO file? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-15 I believe that is correct. I forget the reason for the change, but this is how it works now and you cannot use "old style" NFOs you had for Jellyfin 10.8. Most external tools for creating NFOs, like Tiny Media Manager, should be able to automatically migrate to the NFO naming. |
