Trickplay Interval - wookie104 - 2024-11-20 If the trickplay interval is set to 10000 ms then should it not create an image every 10 seconds. When watching a movie each image moves\created is 4 seconds for me. RE: Trickplay Interval - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-20 Did you enable "Only generate images from key frames"? RE: Trickplay Interval - wookie104 - 2024-11-20 No I did not enable it. I enabled it with image interval 10000 but the images now are every 2 seconds. At least before it was 4 seconds. RE: Trickplay Interval - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-20 Can you share your Jellyfin logs? Or find a trickplay log so we can see the parameters used in the ffmpeg command? RE: Trickplay Interval - wookie104 - 2024-11-20 Here was the logs from one item ( I took out the name of the show and replaced with XXXX) [2024-11-20 13:00:48.947 -05:00] [INF] [55] Jellyfin.Server.Implementations.Trickplay.TrickplayManager: Creating trickplay files at 320 width, for "/data/media/tv/shows/XXXX - S03E13 - XXXX.mp4" [ID: cfe56cbd-241a-c853-2624-3d51c163cda6] [2024-11-20 13:00:48.947 -05:00] [INF] [55] MediaBrowser.MediaEncoding.Encoder.MediaEncoder: Trickplay generation: "/usr/lib/jellyfin-ffmpeg/ffmpeg -loglevel error -skip_frame nokey -init_hw_device cuda=cu:0 -filter_hw_device cu -hwaccel cuda -hwaccel_output_format cuda -noautorotate -hwaccel_flags +unsafe_output -threads 1 -i file:\"/data/media/tv/shows/XXXX - S03E13 - XXXX.mp4\" -noautoscale -an -sn -vf \"fps=0.10000000149011612,setparams=color_primaries=bt709:color_trc=bt709:colorspace=bt709,scale_cuda=w=320:h=180:format=yuv420p,hwdownload,format=yuv420p\" -threads 4 -c:v mjpeg -qscale:v 4 -fps_mode passthrough -f image2 \"/tmp/jellyfin/2789b63119224e69bd43095d0d06b3d8/%08d.jpg\"" [2024-11-20 13:00:58.362 -05:00] [INF] [41] Jellyfin.Server.Implementations.Trickplay.TrickplayManager: Finished creation of trickplay files for "/data/media/tv/shows/XXXX - S03E13 - XXXX.mp4" RE: Trickplay Interval - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-20 What are you seeing that tells you that the interval is shorter? The ffmpeg command does have it set to 0.1 FPS (1 frame every 10 seconds). AFAICT, regardless of the keyframe setting, when I hover my mouse over the timeline I only see one new image every 10 seconds. RE: Trickplay Interval - wookie104 - 2024-11-20 On the video itself (timeline) when I am scrolling or hovering through the thumbnails are showing these times. Originally it was a thumbnail every 4 seconds (timestamps) when scrolling through the video then it was 2 seconds for each thumbnail once I enabled the Only generate images from keyframes. I can wipe all the trickplays out and re-run it to see if it changes. |
