Video plays in browser but not on TV - rumbles - 2024-11-20 Hi all. I have a video that plays fine in browser but only plays for 5 seconds before crashing on TV. I'm not sure what's wrong and would appreciate someone with more knowledge giving me a hand please. Jellyfin is in a docker container and the TV points at the server ip and the exposed port. Other videos run fine on both browser and TV. The TV log is here: https://pastebin.com/JzYDUZL0 And the browser log is here: https://pastebin.com/MMy6Z2SS Any help or pointers much appreciated RE: Video plays in browser but not on TV - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-20 Because it is Dolby Vision 7.6 video. I'm ASSUMING the browser is falling back to DV 8 or HDR10. But I question whether that is the correct log for the browser playback. I am not aware of browsers supporting fallback. You didn't mention what KIND of TV OS, but I'm going to assume Android TV. If so, it is a known issue that exoplayer, the playback engine built into Android, does not properly fall back to HDR10. |
