How to connect Jellyfin to my Google TV - Estradismos - 2024-11-21
I'm new to the Jellyfin world, so far I have set up my server on my PC. However, I'm trying to connect my server to the Jellyfin app on Google TV. The app is asking me for the IP address, when I enter it, it fails, it says cannot cannot.
I have my Google TV connected to the WIFI and the PC to the ethernet cable.

Hi there.
There are a few things that could cause the described issue.
Is the Server Running on Windows?
- Are you sure that it can be accessed from the outside? (Firewall/ Antivirus)
(same ofc applies to linux)
Did you set a local static ip for your PC (or are sure that you are using the correct one)
And finaly ofc: Are you abled to access your Server from the Host machine? - so Localhost.
