Trouble for play serials - NoBro - 2024-11-24
Hello all, I installed Jellyfin, Os - Fedora, if you put all the movies and TV series in 1 folder, everything is displayed well, if you put the TV series in a separate directory, it seems that Jellyfin just does not see it. please tell me how to fix it?

Movies and Shows should be in separate folders and separate libraries for best results.

Can you share some examples of how folders and files are named and organized?

/htpc/torrent/serial/Selenkay.S01.1080p.WEB-DL.Rus.Spa-alekartem/Selenkay.S01E01.1080p.WEB-DL.Rus.Spa-alekartem.mkvCorrect? Based on what you said earlier, I'm assuming you're using a mixed library pointed at "/htpc/torrent". Is that correct? And you've nested your shows in their own folder.
If all those assumptions are correct, that is not going to work.
The mixed library, in general, is buggy AF and we strongly recommend keeping movies and shows separate. And nesting shows and movies into sub-folders is not recommended.

I'm not sure what about what I said was unclear. Your folder naming is very much not compliant with what Jellyfin expects and needs. And what you've provided doesn't clear up how the Jellyfin libraries are configured and whether you are putting movies and shows in the same library.

That's right, I have movies in the movie folder and shows in the series folder.

I see they are in separate folders. But are they in the same library? Regardless, for series your folder naming is still non compliant.
