Library Paths w/ Crostini - Ninnux - 2023-09-05 Recently started experimenting with Jellyfin on my Chromebook (v116 stable) Crostini linux container (Debian 11 bullseye). The problem below was not an issue with Plex Server. Jellyfin: 10.8.10 Installed with Portainer via jellyfin/jellyfin image, network: host, PGID/PUID: 1000 Crostini uses FUSE smbfs to bind SMB network drives. /mnt/chromeos/removable/<USB drive>/Videos /mnt/chromeos/SMB/<SMB drive>/Videos Add Media files > Select Folder > Folder path Choosing my container path to USB drive mount point works fine. Jellyfin works beautifully. Path to SMB drive mount point is listed, but upon choosing nothing happens. This wasn't the case with Plex server. RE: Library Paths w/ Crostini - TheDreadPirate - 2023-09-06 In the container are you able to navigate your media folder? Can you do something like run md5sum on any of your media? RE: Library Paths w/ Crostini - Ninnux - 2023-09-06 In the Linux Crostini container? Yes, I'm able to navigate all those files. I'm able to do md5sum on the video files. The only thing I can think of is that Jellyfin doesn't like how Crostini names SMB drives. For example, my path is: /mnt/chromeos/SMB/f660db8349e3bc13e87b22aa2166e9c7ab55a9187440c970fd3a96b9a99e901c But that didn't seem to bother Plex. |
