How to handle multiple artists per music track? - happyvoid - 2024-11-27 Discription Not sure if this exists already in the feature request section. Should it be filed? Does the request make sense? How are others dealing with this problem? Currently When handling a track with Artist: Artist 1 & Artist 2 OR Artist 1, Artist 2 in the track Artist field, Jellyfin create a new Artist and lists that Track Artist as "Artist 1, Artist 2 " or "Arist 1 & Artist 2". Expected It would be great if Jellyfin was a bit smarter about this and listed the track in question for both artists "Artist 1" and "Artist 2" in both cases instead of creating a new Artist which isn't really an Artist and also can't be provided with an Artist picture and leads to other complications down the line. RE: How to handle multiple artists per music track? - gnattu - 2024-11-27 Use a tool that supports enter multiple entries for a single tag this will be handled automatically. For example, Picard with tag mode set to ID3v2.4 and you just add multiple values into a single tag field, all the entries of the artist tag will be added to the database. If you don’t want to use such tools and really want to manually use a custom character to separate artists, you enable the use custom delimiter option on the Library and separate your artists use the specified delimiter. RE: How to handle multiple artists per music track? - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-27 Dashboard > Libraries > select Music library. Scroll down and check "Use custom tag delimiter". The characters in the text box below it are the default artist delimiters. Use those to separate artists in the tag, otherwise whatever is in the tag is treated as a singular artist. |
