Jellyfin's Privacy Policy? - Terrian - 2024-11-27

Was just looking for a link to the privacy policy for using Jellyfin... ? Must be looking in all the wrong places. TIA

Jellyfin doesn't have a privacy policy because we don't collect information. No centralized accounts, no centralized proxies, no usage telemetry.

Jellyfin is 100% self-hosted and offline out of the box, by design.

Wow... that's great. I might humbly suggest those two sentences or similar "be the privacy policy" and posted in the Documentation, so people like me that don't realize that, can read it and know that's the case. It's another huge benefit. And no mention of it anywhere. Thanks very much.

Got it. Just that people don't always read entire pages to the end, particularly when the earlier-on stuff is sufficient to get them excited. Smiling-face But some will look for a privacy policy since that's the standard place to find info like that. But you guys know what you're doing and it sounds like I'm the only one who's ever asked. Thanks again, and if you celebrate TG, have a good one.
