Android client cannot access the server via mobile data - ruitico - 2024-11-30 I have a problem that seems easy to solve but for which I cannot find a solution. My Jellyfin Android client cannot connect to the server via mobile data, although it can easily do so via Wi-Fi. Thanks. RE: Android client cannot access the server via mobile data - paulc - 2024-11-30 From what I understand, if you are accessing Jellyfin through your local home network, when you're using mobile data, most devices cut away from the local and use their own network and you are no longer on your local network. One solution would be to access it through your home networks public IP and that requires a little configuration of your home network, router etc to accept and then route incoming server requests. RE: Android client cannot access the server via mobile data - TheDreadPirate - 2024-11-30 You have a couple options to setup remote access. Use a VPN like tailscale or setup, setup a reverse proxy, or just port forward port 8096 (not recommended). |
