It seems Battlemage got a new encoder, simply called Advanced Media Engine. Not sure whether these new encoders are better than the ones in Arrow Lake CPUs. RE: It seems Intel's upcoming Battlemage got new encoder called "Advanced Media Engine." - Venson - 2024-12-01 i would take everything battlemage related with a HUuuuuuuge mountain of salt. lets see whats really up with that when it releases RE: It seems Intel's upcoming Battlemage got new encoder called "Advanced Media Engine." - nyanmisaka - 2024-12-01 If you don't care about H.266/VVC hardware decoding, then there won't be a significant difference from the current Alchemist. In addition, the "Advanced Media Engine" is just a promotion to make it sound more advanced, so no matter what Intel calls it, the underlying hardware is still dual MFX engines, and the supported interfaces are QuickSync and VA-API. |
