So, current Alchemist GPUs have Media Engine (or now called Multi-Format Codec Engine). It seems Battlemage got a new encoder, simply called Advanced Media Engine.

Not sure whether these new encoders are better than the ones in Arrow Lake CPUs.

If you don't care about H.266/VVC hardware decoding, then there won't be a significant difference from the current Alchemist. In addition, the "Advanced Media Engine" is just a promotion to make it sound more advanced, so no matter what Intel calls it, the underlying hardware is still dual MFX engines, and the supported interfaces are QuickSync and VA-API.
