Naming Conventions - CameraMan - 2024-12-03 I've tried searching and can't find an answer. Maybe I have just not hit upon the best search terms yet. Anyway... Any tips on how would I got about naming multiple disc collections such as 'The Best Of Johnny Carson' or 'Bob Hope - The Ultimate Collection' ? Many of these do not have a IMDB or TMDB entry. I've tried just naming each disc and file/episode/show on the discs manually. But I am wondering if there is an easier way. A similar question is finding images to use for these 'collections', short of scanning the DVD box on my trusty old Epson scanner. Thanks for any and all suggestions. RE: Naming Conventions - schnappi - 2024-12-03 The below naming schemes may be what you want... Folder name - "The Best Of Johnny Carson" Folder name - Season01 "The Best Of Johnny Carson - S01E01.mkv" "The Best Of Johnny Carson - S01E02.mkv" or (I suspect the above option will be more of what you want, but you should try both) Folder name - "The Best Of Johnny Carson" "The Best Of Johnny Carson - Episode 1 720p.mkv" "The Best Of Johnny Carson - Episode 2 720p.mkv" RE: Naming Conventions - TheDreadPirate - 2024-12-03 So the way this should work is that you name the folders and episodes as if this was a plain Johnny Carson boxset instead of a "Best Of" compilation. My wife has a "Best Of" boxset for the old show "Dragnet". You just need to treat it like the original show and name the episodes properly. Code: Dragnet/ It is all over the place, in terms of incomplete seasons, but that's what you have to do. As you stated, TMDB/IMDB/TVDB doesn't consider Best Of compilations as their own entity, because they aren't. |
