Some folders aren't displayed in library - adroman - 2024-12-11

Guys, has anyone encountered that in home video mode in jellifin library not all folders are displayed?
I have folder that is called "Other" and contains about 74 000 files. I suppose it can be a problem, but Plex has no problem with that folder. File system is NTFS.
Is there some limitations with Jellyfin?

The home videos library is kind of buggy. I couldn't figure out why some of my photos and videos didn't show but others did. Same permissions, same camera, same format, same folder structure. If this is important functionality for you, you should explore other applications.

I used to recommend Immich, but I don't like the direction they are going.

I found this wiki with a list of other self-hosted home photo/video centric apps.

Thank you very much, I tested immich.app, but that app is specifically photo orientated, not home video.
I tested various library content types (Movies, Home Videos, Mixed Movies) in the new version of Jellyfin
10.10.6, still one directory is not visible. Repeatedly scanning the library doesn't help. See no errors in log.
But if I mount this problematic folder directily in a new library like /folders/promblematic then I can see its content in that library.
So I'm using creation of additional library as a workaround.
Is there any information if there are plans to fix this bug in the future?
