PLEASE! What ever needs to be done to extract and respect embedded album sort order (and artist sort ordeR) metadata from music that already has the information added (usualy through iTunes). Just had to rebuild my entire server and now I get to go through my hundreds of movie soundtracks and re-edit the metadata sort titles. 11 Fast & Furious, 8 Nightmare on Elm Street, over 50 Star Wars. NOT FUN!

It's not ideal but you can hold this information in nfo files. If you haven't already populated Jellyfin with the sort titles it's trivial to create the necessary nfo files using Mp3tag.

Had not seen this reply to my post and wasn't really aware about album NFO files. Certainly not the ideal when I already put in the work to add the album sorttitle into the actual files/albums which only seems possible through iTunes for some reason. And I don't particularily feel like going through my 5000 movie soundtracks to do this but I will look into it now that I know about it. I just don't understand how this (and grouping) field seem ignored by anything but iTunes. I use MediaMonkey for all my curration accept those (gave up Grouping long ago, mostly) and then in iTunes add the album sort. Hurts my brain to loko at say Star Trek and the albums are all over the place! Or Bond films. Arrrgh!
