Scan All Libraries Every Time? - KodiUser1138 - 2024-12-15 Rebuilding my entire server and each time I add a library or a new source Jellyfin wants to scan ALL libraries, every single time. I don't need to scan over 6000 movies while adding a new library that has less than 100 videos in it. Using 10.10.3 and never seen this behaviour before nor can find any setting to prevent this action. Also having issues extracting album artwork embedded into music files. My entire movie soundtrack library looks terrible because of this and again, never experienced this behaviour nor can find the setting to correct it. Ontop of Jellyfin not reading embedded Album Sort metadata which is another massive PITA. RE: Scan All Libraries Every Time? - treq - 2025-04-01 I am having a similar issue where if I have to reboot due to an update or for whatever reason, I have to scan my entire library again. And if I don't, there simply isn't any media in there. Is there a way to make jellyfish keep the library data between reboots? Spending 20min every time I reboot just to scan libraries before I can watch anything is frustrating in the extreme. RE: Scan All Libraries Every Time? - TheDreadPirate - 2025-04-01 I believe if your media is stored on a SMB network share this is unavoidable. Something something, SMB doesn't handle inotify properly so every file and folder needs to be checked for changes. |
