GB parental ratings not available to manually select - chenks - 2024-12-16 for my libraries i have the language set to "English" and country/region set to "United Kingdom" for the vast majority this has matched the parental rating correct, in that the ratings all start with GB, eg GB-15, GB-PG etc. however there is a handful of parental ratings where the rating is either missing or incorrect. when trying to manually correct the rating none of the GB* ratings are available on the list to select from. if the rating should be "GB-15", i only have the option of "15", and if i select that option it is different to "GB-15" meaning that i now have 2 separate 15 ratings in the filter list. so how do i select the GB rating so that it matches all the other parental ratings? ![]() ![]() RE: GB content ratings not available to manually select - TheDreadPirate - 2024-12-16 Do some of the shows in your library that don't have UK ratings from your primary metadata provider? I'm in the US, but some of my older Anime doesn't have US ratings. So I get some ratings for other regions. My understanding for how Jellyfin uses parent ratings is that each rating is assigned an age number. So "GB-15" SHOULD be the same as "15" for the underlying "age" it will show if you were to set the parental restriction for a user. If you have an unrestricted user, all available parental ratings will be shown in the filter. Including from other regions. Including from other regions. yes the user is unrestricted, but the only parental ratings i can select from are shown in the screenshot. selecting 15, and not GB-15, means that when applying a filter i have 2 separate 15 ratings, 15 and GB-15. none of the GB prefix ratings are on the list to select. I mis-understood. Did you set the global region to UK? Did you set the global region to UK? yes, set to English and United Kingdom RE: GB parental ratings not available to manually select - TheDreadPirate - 2024-12-16 Have you noticed anything common about the content that doesn't have the correct rating system? I've tried setting a US region for a specific library and a UK region globally and it honored the global region (IMO it should be the other way around). I haven't been able to reproduce this issue. If you are able to find a common factor for the content that has this problem, please submit a github ticket. https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues RE: GB parental ratings not available to manually select - chenks - 2024-12-17 (2024-12-16, 11:20 PM)TheDreadPirate Wrote: Have you noticed anything common about the content that doesn't have the correct rating system? GB ratings don't show as an option to manually select on any content, regardless of the library or what the parental rating is currently set to. if the content has a GB rating on either TheMovieDB or TheTVDB then jellyfin applies that, as expected. if it doesn't jellfin applies a US rating instead - which is fine, but i should be able to manually change that to a GB rating from within jellyfin, but jellyfin doesn't give an option to change them to a GB specific rating. on github it would appear that someone else is seeing the same thing https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/11767 RE: GB parental ratings not available to manually select - chenks - 2024-12-24 not sure where to go with this. the open issue on guthub doesn't seem to have much traction. i'm currently stuck with a mix of GB specific ratings and non-GB specific ratings. RE: GB parental ratings not available to manually select - TheDreadPirate - 2024-12-24 Not much work is going to be done until after the holidays.
