Trickplay image (and other metadata) automatic cleanup - schnappi - 2024-12-18 1) I was recently using LosslessCut to edit some old VHS tapes in my Jellyfin library. When a file replaces another file, but has the same file name, are tickplay images automatically regenerated? Basically, does the library scan recognize files by their name, or file hash? 2) Are trickplay images, thumbnails, and other metadata removed when a file is removed from a library? RE: Trickplay image (and other metadata) automatic cleanup - TheDreadPirate - 2024-12-18 Yes, it should recreate trickplays when you replace files with new versions. I did this yesterday and the log shows that it re-ran the trickplay job on the new versions. And it should cleanup files associated with the old version, or media you've removed in general. |
