Using local metadata (nfo) for a single TV series in a collection - stowaway5271 - 2024-12-18 Hello Among my library of TV series, there's one where online metadata has conflicting info between sources. Looking up solutions I found out about .nfo files, so I figured I could write my own and bypass/ignore downloading metadata. The guides say that for Jellyfin to read the files, I'd need to disable all metadata downloaders on the library, but that'd affect the other series. Is there a way to make it read the .nfo files just for that series? Maybe read the files if they're present, download metadata otherwise. Also, if I use .nfo files, can I still have Jellyfin extracting thumbnails from the videos, or do I have to provide my own images? Thanks RE: Using local metadata (nfo) for a single TV series in a collection - TheDreadPirate - 2024-12-18 You could disable metadata providers for the library temporarily, scan this series, and once it completes you would turn back on the other metadata providers. You can still have the image extractor image providers enabled for this process. RE: Using local metadata (nfo) for a single TV series in a collection - stowaway5271 - 2024-12-18 I thought about that, but I figured once I turned it back on, it'd try to download metadata for that series. But I'll give it a shot and see what happens, thanks. |
