Audio Sync Problem - Geordie Spock - 2024-12-26

Hi


I’m hoping sometime can help a real newbie. A friend of mine set up our Home Theatre streaming entertainment system, and I have very limited knowledge on how to fix the following problems.


I have a Philips 77OLED806 TV with a Nvidia Shield console connected to a Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar.


Whenever I watch any Atmos/HD Audio content through Jellfin, the Audio sync is way out around 2 seconds. When I restart the content the sound is in sync but the Atmos/HD Audio surround effects have gone, and sound is only produced from the main Soundbar.


I have no idea how to fix this, and it’s driving me mad. Can anyone please help.

Is the audio TrueHD? I believe most devices support EITHER TrueHD OR Atmos. If your receiver or soundbar supports both at the same time, make sure you've enabled "Bitstream dolby" in the app's settings.

Settings > Playback > Advanced playback settings.

Yes my Soundbar supports True HD, and thank you for the info, I'll give it a try.

Checked the settings and "Bitsream Dolby" was alrady enabled, I'm not sure what else to do.
