Thread: in search results, show exact title first
Post: RE: in search results, show exact title first

Exactly as wenzilja said. Those tips for name folders are interesting, but I'm talking now about the UX of trying to find "M" in the web UI. I have more than 24 movies starting with "m" and web UI is ...

Some films have very short titles. For example "M" (1931), "Z" (1969), and "If" (1968) are all on the "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die" list. Jellyfin searches for partial string matches, so t...

    That seems to work.

Post: how to deal with "serial" films

Right now I'm thinking about "Les Vampires", the ten part serial from 1915. Is it a "show"? In that case I should name them like "shows/les-vampires.1915/the-severed-head.s01e01.mp4" or should it be t...

    Post: RE: the "Collections" view

I have TMDB enabled. I certainly haven't changed it in a long time. (I started with Jellyfin maybe November last year, to put a cap on "long time".) Certainly is was configured this way before I added...

    Post: the "Collections" view

How are things selected for "Collections"? I like the idea but not the default execution. If I search by genre, I find 30+ "Western" films. If I look in the "Western" category, there's just one. ...

I have the original series (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prisoner) and the remake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prisoner_(2009_miniseries)): Code: -- $ ls shows/the-prisoner.1967  show...

Aha. Renaming the directory to include 2005 has helped enormously. Still some issues, but the majority of the episodes have been identified.

From my experience documented in first post, I don't think that works.

Is there a fix that does not involve whitespace in filenames? It's awfully inconvenient for CLI access.

New to Jellyfin and still trying to figure out the tricks to get media to identify correctly. I have Doctor Who episodes for a few of the original run and all of the new run (the 2005 to now episod...

I'm found something similar. Internal to my network, Jellyfin runs on fin.local.domain:8096, that works fine. Downloaded and installed yesterday, using standard "debuntu" method. Externally I wa...
