I recently bulk moved some files around to reorganize a bit and was hoping between the library scans and running the various tasks available it would clean up the metadata but it doesn't seem to have done so - any updates on this?

I'm also hitting this issue and it only started recently.  I hit it for the first time in late October but given my workflow I don't know for sure when it was actually introduced.

I place new media in a staging area where it can sit for months before eventually getting moved to a permanent location.  Jellyfin scans both the final location and the staging area.  I've been doing this for years and Jellyfin had always correctly 'moved' the media during the scan that followed the move out of staging.  I would end up with a single copy at the new location.

For the last two moves out of staging (late Oct and now early Dec) I've ended up with two copies of the media: one at the old location and one at the new.  The one at the old location obviously fails to play and, depending on the client, may also have missing images (I'm guessing it depends on what it already had cached).

I *think* I did a library repair to fix it last time but it would be nice to not have to do that every time, especially since this worked flawlessly for years.

Does the scan no longer verify media still exists, and if not is this intentional? I looked for something like a 'clean library' task and I'm not seeing it.
