Jellyfin: 10.11.2
OS: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS running via docker compose
I have a weird issue where I ripped a bluray disk and then used LosslessCut to split the resulting .mkv files by chapter into individual episode files. I then uploaded those to the machine hosting my jellyfin and sonarr instance, set the chown/chomd before moving them to the appropriate folder for my media. Sonarr found them instantly and was able to rename them properly. Jellyfin found them as well and I was able to identify and set the metadata. Everything seems to be working just fine in that regard. I am able to play seasons 1 and 3 with no apparent issues, however season 2 will hang, but if I right-click and have it show the controls and then click the play button a few times it seems to snap out of it and start to play, however playback info shows that it is transcoding and the reason is there was an error with direct play.
I have attempted to follow other threads with similar issues and haven't quite figured it out as to why seasons 1 and 3 which came off the same disk, ran through the same program, and loaded the same way work without issue but season 2 is broken so I come to y'all for help.
Clients tested:
Web player on Edge 142.0.3595.53: Does not work where I am having the problem.
Android App: works no problems
Android TV App: works no problems
Additional details that may be helpful:
CPU: Intel Core i5-7260U
HW transcoding is configured and enabled and works as far as I can tell
Under my user playback settings "Prefer fMP4-HLS Media Container" is disabled as it was causing issues with another video.
Video files are H264 with AC3 audio codecs
I attached a log file with debug enabled for the entire minute around when it states that I "stopped" playback for the video file named "Entry #27" hopefully it captured enough data to be useful. I can always do more if need be.
