Any work around for PGS subs not working anymore? It tries to extract them then fails.

In which client? Is it transcoding or directly rendering? You can try turning off PGS rendering, if this is a web client, since that feature is experimental. Settings > Subtitles > uncheck "Experimental PGS subtitle rendering".

It was happening on Jellyfin for AndroidTV (Fire TV Stick). Actually downgrading to 10.10.2 it's still doing it. The audio was DTS and the client starts to transcode that to downmix it to stereo and toggling PGS subtitles says "Failed to load".

Can you share your full jellyfin logs via pastebin?

The subtitles for the AndroidTV client have been completely rewritten for the upcoming release (version "0.18"). It is currently in beta, so please give it a try and let us know if you continue to experience any issues.

Will do! @TheDreadPirate I ended up remuxing it, removing all pgs subtitles and remuxing with srt subs. As soon as I find another movie that does this I'll post it. Some movies with PGS sub still work... The movie that errored had DTS audio and had to transcode while trying to play the PGS subs embedded in the mkv file. Get back to you soon this.

@theguymadmax I stream installed 0.18.0 beta4 and now I noticed that the experimental playback with VLC is gone and all .ass subtitles caused the docker using the latest 10.10.3 to say the codec is not supported and burning it in / transcoded.

Have you been using 0.16? libVLC was removed in 0.17.
