Hello,
This is my first post here and I just wanted to share this with everyone.
I have recently just finished building my server for my media, my family photos, my NAS server and soon to be my own cloud server too.
I have to say I absolutely LOVE Jellyfin, it's just brilliant. I've only been using it for 4 or 5 days and I have no idea what everything in it does, but I'm sure that over time I will no doubt start asking all sorts of daft questions or stupid things that everyone else knows like it was printed on the back of the box lol.
I used to stream my media on my ipad at night (form my old NAS) in VLC player, because it had the ability to connect to a network share and because it had a sleep timer, so I could press play on something like "The Simpsons" or "The Big Bang Theory" and choose 1 hour and 9 minutes for 3 episodes of The Simpsons, or 1 hour and 3 minutes for 3 episodes of The Big Bang Theory, etc.
I couldn't find a way to set it up in Jellyfin, and when I googled it, I saw lots of other comments asking for something like it.
so, over the past 24 hours, I have managed to build a plugin that does it for you - right in the window while the file is playing.
In the bottom right hand corner, you should see a little moon icon and it will let you choose the number of files to play before it stops (because otherwise Jellyfin just keeps playing and playing! lol
So, the repository for it is here, it's free for everyone, forever!
(Note: As I'm not a coder, I relied heavily on the AI I used to create it for me, so if it stops working in the near future I won’t be able to figure it out without help, so be warned it might stop working and there won't be an updated working version for a long time!)
