If you wish to list your physical media in Jellyfin, see all the info, mark as watched etc. then I have done this myself and thought I would share how I did it.
Once you have set it up, if you click on a DVD or Bluray in your library you will get a 1sec clip saying "On DVD" on the screen.

Note: I have also included scripts to easily add DVD/BD icons to the posters if you use Nemo filemanger (Linux).
