    Hi,

I'm pretty new to Jellyfin and am currently in the process of importing my media to it. I have an album that doesn't have much Metadata in the mp3 files themselves. "However, that's not a problem," I thought, "Jellyfin will fill in the blanks for me." Unfortunately, it just doesn't want to index. What I mean by that is the album doesn't recognize the the artist, there are no numbers associated to tracks and the tracks themselves are filenames instead of just the song title. I followed the file structure from this [doc](https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/music). It currently looks like this:

    Music/

    ├─ Artist/

    │  ├─ Album/

    │  │  ├─ 01 - Title1.mp3

    │  │  ├─ 02 - Title2.mp3

    │  │  ├─ 03 - Title3.mp3

    ...

    │  │  ├─ cover.jpg

    │  │  ├─ credits.pdf

I've set the MusicBrainz id for both the exact album as well as release group, I tried all options of refreshing the metadata but nothing works. And I can't set the Album Artist for the entire album but rather have to set it one-by-one which is ridiculous. I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to set the Other Artists ID field to the main artist id, although, my other albums from the same artist (same file structure) are recognized correctly. The problem is 2 newer albums released in the same year

    What am I missing here?

Also, something I've noticed - Setting the MusicBrainz Album ID to the whole album doesn't set it to individual files

Upload your jellyfin log to paste bin. There might be something in there that could hint at what is going on.

Just use musicbrains picard to properly add metadata to the album.

Then you never need to worry about a mistag again - even if you someday switch to another media system.
