Any way to rate-limit scanning?

Any way to rate-limit scanning? 

If I add a file that starts scanning it blocks the ability to watch movies or navigate. 

Can I make it not scan so "hard"? Like instead of scanning 1h at 100% it scans for 3h at 33%. 

(I've stopped auto scanning and started scheduling it, but that's not what I'm asking about)

The only thing you can do is limit the number of threads.

Dashboard > General > Parallel library scan tasks limit/Parallel image encoding limit
