Audio is a lot quieter than other apps (Android TV)

Can I make Jellyfins volume more like other apps?

Hi, I'm using the latest Jellyfin Android TV app.

The volume is always much quieter, so when I use volume 35 (Denon AVR) in apps like YouTube, I need to increase it to something like 55-60 for Jellyfin to have similar loudness. And if I switch back from Jellyfin to another app I need to be careful to not wake up the neighbourhood. This is pretty consistent for all media types and genres like Hollywood movies, TV shows, animated shows, codecs/formats etc.

Is there something I can do to make Jellyfin generally louder without resorting to strong compression using my AVR? Because that highly reduces the dynamic range and makes movies and shows less enjoyable for me.

I'm using an NVIDIA Shield Pro 2019 as a playback device for all apps and I just recently updated my Jellyfin server and all clients and the Shield OS.

    Thank you for reading.

The app does not modify the sound of your media in anyway, unless you enabled the audio night mode option. If this means Jellyfin is more quiet compared to other apps the issue most likely lies within your media files.

I have also noticed this and came to the conclusion it's something in the shield that makes one app different.
