Backup Jellyfin On windows 11

So have had issues with jellyfin and have had to restart again.

my question is how do i run backup so if i have to rebuild again its just a case of move folders back over for jellyfin to pick up

C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin

That directory contains all of your server databases and config files. Backing up that directory should allow you to restore in case of a failure.

Ok so if I had a failure would I install jf then move these files back in or put these files in first then install

Install Jellyfin.  Once the install completes, stop Jellyfin from the tray app.  Copy and paste the backed up files and overwrite the default/blank files.  Start Jellyfin.  It should be like nothing happened.

How long are we talking?  Can you describe your setup?  Is your library stored locally?  On a NAS?  Cloud storage?

Hi so i have Local storage

and

Cloud storage rclone is not showing any download quote exceeded probably about 45 minutes ish

i Have just started a test on the scan to see how long it takes to complete if there is anything specific you need please let me no as i really like jf just need to get it stable as my house stream so much stuff its crazy and plex has become a pain in the ass

If you have chapter image extraction and keyframe extraction enabled on scan, and you have some remote storage, that might be why it is taking so long. Can you share your jellyfin logs with us? Redact any WAN IPs and domains and upload it to sourcebin.

Hi sorry yeh is there an easy way to get the logs as the file i can find is massive.

or is there a specific way to get the logs
